Biography

Valeria Franceschi is a temporary assistant professor in English Language and Translation at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Verona, where she teaches at undergraduate and graduate level. Her research interests focus on English as a Lingua Franca, especially in relation to plurilingual practices and on the business context (BELF), corpus linguistics, and tourism discourse.

Francesca Poli is a postdoc fellow at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore working on learner language and movie language. She is an adjunct professor of English language at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Her interests are corpus linguistics, learner corpus research, tourist communication, education, and spoken language. She’s a member of the Learner Corpus Research Association and AIA.
