Roberto Esposito

Roberto Esposito is a third-year PhD student at the University of Naples L’Orientale. At the same university, he obtained a master’s degree in Comparative Literature and Cultures, with a pragma-stylistic dissertation on (Im)politeness phenomena in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. His doctoral research investigates drag culture as a form of social semiotics through a corpus-based, multimodal, and stylistic study of RuPaul’s Drag Race. His main research interests concern intersectionality and the interplay between verbal and non-verbal language, mainly from a critical discursive perspective.
