Ahmad Izadi

Dr. Ahmad Izadi is a senior researcher in Language and Communication (English and Persian), who has just completed his project on doctor-patient interaction in Iran at the University of Bayreuth, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Germany.  Previously, he has worked on a variety of topics in the pragmatics of Persian and English for Academic Purposes, most notably on politeness and face. His works have appeared in many international journals including several papers in the Journal of Pragmatics, Pragmatics and Society, Discourse Studies, etc.
